WE were attending a party, and all were known friends and cousins. Dinner time I was near the buffet table and filling my plate with food of my choice...as I was heading to a place to sit n eat. As I paused to chit chat with friends on my move, with the plate in hand, i noticed friends picked a little this and a little that from my plate which I willingly shared to taste, but it also made me realize..what has to go in to who's share or stomach will go to them only. What is meant for you is the only thing you will get. So who's plate is it any ways? strange but its so clear and easy right? If we apply this in life, we can solve many problems.its such a simple philosophy that we can follow with out any confusion. We simply fight for our rights , our share, this is mine and that is mine! Actually we get what is our and our s only! If we follow this simple logic, I am sure living would become very easy and life happy!
I found this analogy interesting too:
You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.
Why did you spill the coffee?
"Well because someone bumped into me, of course!" Wrong!!!
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.
Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea. right?
Whatever is inside the cup, is what will spill out.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves... "what's in my cup?"
When life gets tough, what spills over?
Joy, gratefulness, peace and humility?
Or anger, bitterness, harsh words and reactions?
You choose!
If we work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation for ourselves; and kindness, gentleness and love for others, in our plates. It is kinda positive meal for all!
