Mangalore----Aug2013
This monsoon had the darkest clouds so far! This month or the last , I can call as the Black ones. Phone calls, text messages of friends and relatives, informing of sad demises! A friend of mine lost her husband whom I met just the previous day sharing a joke over a cone of ice cream! The kids were fatherless over night, and the person just vanished..! An architect, travel enthusiast, I use to bump in to this man always planning a trip or excitedly sharing his travel experiences of course at travel agency is, no more! Cancer was the cause, and family faced the loss! Our jeweler not even 60 returned from his morning walk, ..and collapsed due to heart attack! Another loss!! In the family... uncle by far but close enough to care, just fell n broke his skull and in a matter of few days breathed his last! Many condolence messages.. many remembrance lunches..! Tributes to their loved ones! A parent in his 80s, and a husband in his fifties..,a friend in his 40s, and an uncle in his 70s..! The loss of near and dear ones is UN- explainable! ! I do see unexpected deaths on one side, and I also see people waiting for that day, that moment..silently suffering the pain, agony and misery! Their families making space and place for them with utmost love and care in their routines. This surely makes me believe we all come with expiration dates..and that is our destiny , and fate is what this all is! I lost my pet dogs all 4 of them ..during the months of December, January, and Feb..! I heard from few friends the same that they lost their pets during the same months. Then I read some where, generally dogs depart from this world during winter months.Humans may be more during monsoon,?.. was what I thought! Sad and depressing..but this monsoon saw lot of farewells! Who's ever time comes they have to leave is the ultimate truth. To all those people who have gone..May their souls rest in peace, and to the families, my heart felt condolences..!
The best kind of people are the ones that come into your life, and make you see the sun where you once saw clouds. The people that believe in you so much, you start to believe in you too. The people that love you, simply for being you. The once in a life time kind of people. If you have such people around you..don't wait but hang on to them, before you lose them. Value them, as You never know when they are going to leave you! Dark clouds all over!
