AS the year 2014 is coming to an end, I look back...!! I look back at years, whether it was 2004 in LA, or 1994, 1984 in Mangalore or 1974 when I was just in school! Every decade has brought lot of change in me and my life! Even though I had my own formulas, philosophies and dogmas which I applied in my life from time to time they got changed. I learnt the modern technology or got stuck in some old beliefs.. ...some took me to the heights of success and some proved me a failure ! Some brought tears of laughter and many made me weep in sorrow. All taught me one thing...life is to live, and the sooner you accept the way it takes you the more happier you can be. It is not worth fighting against the nature. How ever modern we are and the world around us, ancient philosophy is what is the truth and reality; formula for peace and happiness.I decided not only share it with one and all..but to apply it to my left over years...
The Five Principles of Spirituality...
The First Principle States.........Every person you encounter is the right one.
This means that no one comes to our lives by chance. Every one who is around us, every person with whom we interact, has a defined purpose- whether to teach us something or help us to cope with a current situation.
The second Principle states...
What ever has happened is the only thing that could have happened!
Nothing, absolutely nothing of that which we experienced could have been in any other way. Not even in the least important detail.
There is no, " if only I had done that differently..., then it would have been different."
NO. What happened is the only thing that could have taken place and must have taken place for us to learn our lesson in order to move forward. Every single situation we encounter in life is absolutely perfect, even when it defies our understanding and our ego.
The Third Principle states......
"Each moment in which something begins is the right Moment."
Everything begins exactly at the right moment, neither earlier nor later. When we are ready for it, for that something new in our life, it will be there-ready to begin!
The Fourth Principle States.............
"What is over is Over"
It is that simple. When something in our life ends, it helps our evolution. That is why enriched by each recent experience, it is better to let go of the past and move on.
The Fifth and final Principle States........
"Nothing is Permanent"
This is the universal truth.Nothing in our life is eternal.Everything will change.Somethings earlier and somethings later..but Change is inevitable.
Once this is understood and accepted, life becomes simpler because there are no more stresses of anticipation,no more expectations no more surprises and no more sorrows.
When I look back, I know some of these Principles I have used, put to practice, burnt my fingers, learnt my lessons,..! But I also know I still can use them and use them in the right proper way, to be happy, to be peaceful! "Believe in yourself to accept what you deserve." Hmmm when I look back back...., I don't know if I was good to myself, or loved with my whole being to be happy! Though I always believed in God and trusted Him to do what is best for me. 2014 almost reached its end..and me too....want to look forward...!
