Festival of colors, though never fascinated me, nor was I against it. I never took active part in this festival in my childhood due to lack of exposure to this colour full activity since I grew up in south, and that's all is the reason. I was born in Maharashtra, and my parents spent their early married years there, so my mom used to remind us, the very day that it is Holi, means a big full moon to watch out in the night, and pooran polis, n spicy rice to eat, and Holis just forgotten after that! But over the years, as I moved from south to coast , closer to Mumbai, and with the new technology, and new generation every one loves Holi. Every one wants to play Holi. All want to drench in the coloured water, or smear colours on each other! Aaj na chodenge ..khelenge hum holi is not just the song , and some more such songs especially one from Sholay, are not just songs but for real! I get lot of Holi forwards, and they simply are awesome, hilarious, unimaginable and what do I say... but, LOL!! From different coloured condoms wishing you happy holi to a nude women's body in different colours...is the range n heights of imagination! Mumbai comes to a stand still, since it is Holi. People purposely wear white clothes, so they can put all the colours. TV shows are full of Holi episodes, and actors are in holi parties! It is the time to forgive and forget! It is the time to spread love..and if they use this day right I guess there wont be any misunderstanding any where...haaaaaa! Can that happen ? WE are Indians, and this is India..so everything is just for that day, and as the day rolls over, life also will be again the same routine..! But still festive spirit, and the peoples enthusiasm cannot be ignored so I have to say...happy holi, jobhi ho, Bura na maan na...Holi hai...enjoy the colour full festival, one and all!
